Editor in Chief & VP, Lean In

      • About Caroline

I am passionate about shaping the future of media. The industry is constantly evolving and bringing people news where and when they need it is becoming increasingly important. I've worked at media and technology companies, as well as non-profit foundations, where my goal has always been to learn as much as I can. I want to find that perfect intersection between quality storytelling and platform.

I am Editor In Chief and VP of Education at Lean In where I lead our strategy for original research and programmatic content always with a focus on advancing women and creating a more equitable world.

Previously, I was Editor in Chief of BFF, where I lead content and community for one of the largest communities of women on Web3. Prior to that, I was Editor at Large of LinkedIn's global news team focused on making LinkedIn the best place to share news, insights, and professional knowledge. In my weekly newsletter, Working Together, I wrote about how the American workplace is transforming in a digital and diverse age. I also hosted LinkedIn News Live, the first daily live video show on LinkedIn News.

At Fortune Magazine and the founding writer of The Broadsheet, the daily newsletter of Fortune's Most Powerful Women franchise, I was focused on covering women in business. Every weekday morning, I delivered the latest news, touched on hot-button topics, and offered via exclusive interviews a line to the advice and insights of the world's most successful women. I have interviewed Melinda Gates, Sheryl Sandberg, Warren Buffett and many other successful leaders and visionaries.

My zeal for covering leadership and management is only surpassed by two things: Duke basketball and dogs. I attended Duke on the Robertson Scholarship and currently sit on the Board of Visitors for the Fuqua School of Business. Going on hikes with my dog Larry is my favorite thing to do outside of work. My work has been featured in Fortune, Bloomberg Businessweek, Time, The New York Times, CNBC, CBS This Morning, CNN, Charter, Politico, Forbes, USA Today, HuffPost and Recode.
