Caroline Fairchild
LinkedIn Managing News Editor
My Story
I am passionate about shaping the future of media. The industry is constantly evolving and bringing people news where and when they need it is becoming increasingly important. I've worked in wire, print and online newsrooms where my goal has always been to learn as much as I can. I want to find that perfect intersection between quality storytelling and platform.
I am a Managing Editor on LinkedIn's global editorial team and am focused on making LinkedIn the best place to share news, insights, and professional knowledge. I write about the business and culture of technology and edit key voices who write about those topics as well.
At Fortune Magazine and the founding writer of The Broadsheet, the daily newsletter of Fortune's Most Powerful Women franchise, I was focused on covering women in business. Every weekday morning, I delivered the latest news, touched on hot-button topics, and offered via exclusive interviews a line to the advice and insights of the world's most successful women. I have interviewed Melinda Gates, Sheryl Sandberg, Ivanka Trump, Warren Buffett and many other successful leaders and visionaries. Through audience engagement and creative storytelling, I grew The Broadsheet to 15,500 engaged followers.
My zeal for covering leadership and management is only surpassed by two things: Duke basketball and labrador retrievers. I attended Duke on the Robertson Scholarship and graduated with academic honors. Going on hikes in Idaho with my family black lab, Bear, is my favorite thing to do.
My work has been featured in Fortune, HuffPost, Bloomberg Businessweek, CNBC and Recode.
